Oman Flour Mills bags ‘Best Arab Company Award’ in food sector
MUSCAT: Oman Flour Mills Company has won the Best Arab Company award in the food sector in the Arab world for 2018 at a function held in Marrakech, Morocco, organised by the Supreme Committee of Arab Best.
The remarkable progress and achievements the company over the years, since the Renaissance, helped the company to receive such a coveted honour. The award, which was first introduced in 2016, is given in three main categories - leadership, business and community stars – and is mainly aimed at honouring companies for their excellence in various sectors as well as the contribution of employees. However, the first award function was held in Marrakech in 2017.
The award is a clear manifestation of Oman Flour Mills’ tremendous development over the years and its immense contribution to achieve self-sufficiency in Oman’s food sector and export growth.
“This achievement is another remarkable success in the company’s effort. The company has won several awards over these years. It also shows the tremendous efforts and exceptional performance of the company’s management team,” said Ahmed Almurazza of Chief Corporate Communications Officer at Atyab Investments.
“The Organising Committee of the award stated that Oman Flour Mills Co. won the first position in its category among the nominated companies for this year through a process of voting and evaluation by the Committee of Experts, which consists of well-known personalities at the Arab and global levels,” he added.
The flagship brand of Oman Flour Mills Co, which has more than 20 flour and related products, is “Dhahabi”. Besides, “Barakat” brand for animal feed include all kinds of feeds for livestock and poultry in various stages of growth.
