MUSCAT: Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s leading Integrated Tourism Complex, held its annual community meeting recently to form a new advisory committee, as well as to discuss the latest achievements, projects and development plans.

The three-day meeting with property owners took place at Kempinski Hotel Muscat, with each property group meeting separately, including villa, townhouse and apartment owners.

Members of the community were elected to form an advisory committee, which will represent property owners while working with the Al Mouj Muscat community management team.

The new committee members will look after many areas to assist the community management team including providing inputs, ideas and consultation in the development of future community events and initiatives; and participating and volunteering at event functions.

Feedback

The advisory committee will also be responsible for giving observational feedback and inputs on improvements or enhancements needed to promote better functionality of the community, sharing and communicating community needs and insights of respective ownership groups, and assisting in identifying the needs of the community that are not being met.

Asim bin Mohammed Al Zadjali, Vice President of Customer Experience at Al Mouj Muscat, said: “We want to make sure that the concerns of the Al Mouj Muscat community are being heard and received by our team. The formation of the new committee is very important as it will be the voice of the owners and community members going forward. Through the establishment of this shared platform, we will bring together owners in conjunction with the developer and community management to keep all parties informed, share ideas and future developments, as well as the planning and participation of Al Mouj Muscat events and initiatives.”

Changes

The meeting was a chance to reflect on the successful delivery of recent projects including Marsa Plaza, as well as the development updates for 2018 and beyond. This included the much-anticipated community hub, community events planned at Marsa Plaza and across the destination.

The event also served as a platform to summarise the changes in the 2018 service charge budget and take questions from community members over general matters.
