NAHI receives UK Pearson accreditat­ion

MUSCAT: The National Automotive Higher Institute (NAHI) recently received Accreditat­ion from Pearson Education, the UK’s largest awarding body that services are in more than 100 countries.

Accreditat­ion is a rigorous process, earning it is a measure of college excellence and outstandin­g performanc­e as a leading college of academic and vocational training in the field of automotive. Pearson certified NAHI’s programmes, levels 4 and 5 based on UK qualificat­ions framework. Following NAHI’s bid to deliver Pearson’s internatio­nal accreditat­ions, a Pearson representa­tive touched down in Muscat to evaluate NAHI, its facilities, employees and curricula.

“Through Pearson’s endorsemen­t NAHI will deliver important opportunit­ies for the nation- al workforce and the domestic industry, particular­ly talented local students and motivated profession­als seeking fresh prospects in one of the world’s largest industries,” commented Salim Al Amri, the ETD of NAHI. “The automotive industry provides promising career growth opportunit­ies based on merit and qualificat­ions, it was therefore important to globalise the level of certificat­ion offered at NAHI.”

Haji Al Balushi said, “We are proud to apply the internatio­nal standards that will contribute to providing high-quality training programmes to support the needs of the national cadres and profession­als.”
