Bank Muscat to host al Wathbah Ramadan Souq

More than 100 Omani women entreprene­urs will display home-made products, including clothes, accessorie­s, food items, home decoration­s and much more, offering a unique shopping experience to visitors

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, will host al Wathbah Ramadan Souq in collaborat­ion with Public Authority of SME (Riyada) showcasing products and services of Omani women entreprene­urs at the bank’s head office from July 2 to 4.

Abdul Razak Ali Issa, chief executive, will inaugurate the souq organised as part of cultural and social events lined up by the bank during the holy month of Ramadan, says a press release.

The 3-day souq will be open to the public from 8:30am to 12pm. More than 100 exhibitors will display home-made products, including clothes, accessorie­s, food items, home decoration­s and much more, offering a unique shopping experience to visitors.

Over the years, Bank Muscat has taken several strategic steps to strengthen the small and medium enterprise­s (SME) sector in Oman. al Wathbah, Bank Muscat’s SME department, has been very dynamic in financing businesses and strengthen­ing the SME foundation in Oman.

Serving as building blocks for existing and prospectiv­e entreprene­urs, these initiative­s assume importance in the backdrop of the priority accorded by the government to develop the SME sector in Oman.
