ISC Goan Wing sets date for cricket tourney
MUSCAT: Following on from the success of the first cricket tournament last year, the Goan Wing of the Indian Social Club has announced that the 2nd Annual Cricket Tournament 2017 will be held on Friday, March 10 at the Ghubra Desalination Plant Cricket Ground in Muscat.
The tournament will be a 9 a-side event with two substitutes and is designed to accommodate corporates promoting participation in cricket tournaments. Any corporate team from Oman is eligible to take part in this tournament. The format will have only 16 teams with entries registered on a first-come first-served basis. A company may field more than one team if entries permit.
Registration for the tournament along with residency card copies of the entire team and name of contact person may be given at the earliest to any of the following members: Nell Vaz (99004413), Edwin Viegas (91372728), Bhal Joshi (96793326) and Santosh (97637272).
The last date for receiving entries is Sunday, March 5, 2017. “The earlier you confirm the team participation the better the chances of getting your company registered as there are only a few slots remaining. We are expecting a huge gathering including families to be part of this year’s tournament and enjoy the fun filled event. There are lots of spot prizes and gifts up for grabs,” the Goan Wing said in a press statement.
