Youth Centre introduces programmes to develop skills during Ramadan
Youth Centre has introduced new programmes this Ramadan aimed at nurturing the skills of young individuals and helping them make the most of their time during the holy month.
The initiative includes a diverse range of activities - Quranic recitation, digital drawing, agriculture, financial literacy, a padel tournament, and Virtual Youth Academy training sessions in Linkedin.
Mohammed bin Nasser al Lamki, Director of Programmes at Youth Centre, emphasised that the Ramadan rollout is part of an ongoing commitment to identifying and fostering the talents and skills of young people.
“A drawing camp aims to unleash creativity using digital drawing technology, while an agriculture camp will educate participants on soil types, seed and contemporary agricultural techniques. A financial literacy and investment programme is designed to empower young individuals to make informed decisions in investment matters,” Lamki informed.
A padel tournament will be held with the aim of promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and participation in sports among the youth.
A programme called ‘Glimpses in Tajweed Quran’ will focus on teaching the correct rules of Quranic recitation, while the Virtual Youth Academy will provide specialised virtual training opportunities for over 350 beneficiaries, both male and female.
“The centre remains dedicated to launching a variety of programmes across different domains relevant to young people, with the total number of programmes exceeding 190 at the end of 2023,” Lamki said.
