Indian School Al Seeb scales new heights in excellence and unity
Indian School Al Seeb recorded a milestone event by achieving a historic feat with the unveiling of ‘K-OIN’ (Knowledge Collage of Oman and India) on January 26.
The School embarked on a flagship initiative under the distinguished CBSE campaign, Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Programme and gained entry into the Asia Book of Records on the occasion of Republic Day festivities. With an enthusiastic participation and contribution of more than 2000 students, the school co-ordinated a remarkable visual creation - the most extensive collage ever made. Encompassing nine distinct domains such as Culture, Film, Flora, Fauna, Performing Arts, Sports, Industry, Literature, and Tourism, this masterpiece showcased an astonishing 30,608 facts about Oman and India.
The students from Grade I to VIII contributed to this handwritten collage, which comprised 2326 charts spread over an expansive area of 1050 square metres. This initiative celebrated the vibrant essence of the two incredible nations, Oman and India.
Led by Principal Dr Leena Francis under the adept guidance of the Directors incharge Shameer P T K and Nidheesh Kumar P P, president Krishnan Raman, and other esteemed members of the school management committee, the initiative facilitated an entry of Indian School Al Seeb into the Asia Book of Records.
Spearheaded by event coordinators Tony Thomas, senior faculty Department of Physical Education; and Jidhesh T, head of the Department of Commerce and Humanities, this undertaking - with the collaborative efforts of the dedicated academic team and class teachers from class 1 to class 8 and the admin team - culminated in the creation of a visually striking masterpiece.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of H E Amit Narang, the Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, as the Chief Guest, adding prestige to the occasion.
Deepak Kumar, chairman of Balabel Group, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, lent his expertise as the adjudicator for the project.
The culmination of the event reached its zenith as the Asia Book of Records certificate was presented to Krishnan Raman, president of the school management committee; and principal Dr Leena Francis.
K-OIN personifies the school's commitment and dedication, and aims to foster educational values, institutional values, and most importantly enhancement of Indo-oman relationships. The triumph of this ambitious undertaking underscores the school's visionary ethos, where dreams seamlessly transition into concrete reality.
