IBRAHIM MAGU – LET’S DISCUSS

-

Mbok my brother do not mind the title of this piece o. I really would like to have a discussion with you but the problem is that any call from you or any of your operatives can lead to my untimely death from shock. The last time any EFCC man called me, I almost fainted. The phone rang and I picked and the voice said, ‘is that Joseph Edgar’ and I said yes and he said, ‘this is Dapo

Efcc Ikoyi’. My brother I wet my pants o. Real hot piss came down my pants as I listened to his deep growling voice on the phone. He continued, ‘please can you come to our office now’. I said, ‘please brother, don’t vex, hope there is nothing’ and he said,’ please let me see you in an hour’. I stood there transfixed and started crying. That is how they will jail me o. No Afang, no Duchess and no oxygen. Well, I ran away o. I sent text that I was in Uyo and that I will come when I am back. I no near the place o. Well thankfully, the matter was resolved between the lawyers and your people. Well, this gist is not for you to go and be opening file on my head o, but to assure you of my support for your re-appointment. You see, I really do not like you not for anything but because of the shoe you used to wear. The shoes no dey fine. There is somebody on Awolowo road I can introduce to you to give you better shoe. Anyways, I have just learned that your appointment would be coming to an end this November and like everything Nigerian, people are fighting for and against your reappointment. In taking a position, I came across the following facts. They say you have recovered 939b in 4years; 1,636 convictions. Cash recovered from 2009 to 2019 1.2 trillion. Kai, if this is true why would a nation in its right senses not give you the highest honour and make you EFCC Chairman for life? But you know this our country is a country on cheap drugs, it is the time that people will start playing petty politics. Let me state it here very categorically that if these figures are true, then Magu should be reappointed immediately. That is the only responsible thing to do. My brother this is what I wanted to discuss with you but like I have said, don’t worry, I have written this article and I have stated my position so don’t worry, don’t call or send for me, I know dey town. I am on sabbatical. Thank you.
