Zainab Aliyu – Close Shave

-

I have decided not to listen to the CAN on this one. I hardly ever listen to them though because I think they are out of tune. Trying to throw a dampener on this miracle is kind of funny. Comparing the episode os Zainab Aliyu with Leah Sharibu’s is quite unfortunate and in my books amounts to playing politics with human lives. Leah is still under bondage and the government must come out very seriously to ensure her freedom.

It is our right to demand that, and elesewhere the government would be shaking so in that sense, I support very vigorously the call and pressure on government to do everything within its powers to bring this young girl home.

But comparing these two issues and trying to paint a funny comparison between the two is childish.

This Zainab lady has just escaped with the skin of her teeth a certain death which would have been disastrous if the President hadn’t stepped in considering that she was said to be innocent. This for me is a giant leap for our government even as I hope that this is the beginning of a realization that our overlords know what it means to protect Nigerians anywhere in the world no matter the circumstances. I received the news of her release with immense joy and did not look at the fact that she was a Muslim or from the North or that Leah had not been saved. This is one life saved, let’s even be happy for two seconds on this one first.

Kai, she must have gone through a harrowing experience. Mbok Zainab, God or should I say Allah will continue to protect not only you but all of us from the evil ones who seem hell-bent on controlling our destiny. Well done and God bless you. I for come see you but I dey fear that Kaduna-Abuja Road.
