As part of Sterling Bank Plc’s commitment to promote innovation in banking and add value to the lives of its customers, the bank has launched a new banking initiative known as Sterling Bank Experience Centre, which is a digital and lifestyle experience centre.

Christened Café One, the centre was designed for comfort and equipped with modern work devices such as smart phones, laptops, tablets and free internet connection with coffee and canapés provided by gourmet shop, My Coffee Lagos.

Speaking at the launch of the experience centre, Lagos, the Head Service Standards and Branch Support, Oluwabusola Awosile, said the concept of the experience centre is new to the market, adding that the common knowledge of an experience centre is that of a banking hall.

She also stated that the centre, which is located in Lekki Phase 1 has free wifi for customers who visit the centre to connect their devices in order to learn and enjoy the banks’ numerous products such as Specta (the banks’ community lending loan initiative), noting that the customer has the opportunity either to use their own laptop, phone or make use of the banks’ gadget on display.

Awosile further stated that this is an opportunity the bank made available for customers to use their facilities, while enjoying coffee in the centre, adding that “it is a infusion of leisure and banking.”

She explained: “This is an opportunity made available by the bank for customers to use our facilities. The customer will also be enjoying coffee while banking which for us is a infusion of leisure and banking. “The bank is using this means to give our customers an opportunity to enjoy the ambience of the environment.

“This is the first of its kind in Nigeria. We chose Lekki Phase 1 because we want to connect with the young entrepreneurs and through this platform. What we are pushing is digitalisation.
