Nigeria Celebrates World Facility Management Day 2017
The World Facility Management Day 2017 will be marked tomorrow. Every year, Facilities Managers around the world commemorate the day and the World FM Day, 2017 will not be different, as the Global FM Body, an organisation of FM professional bodies around the world has designated May 17, 2017 as the date for this year’s celebration with the theme: Enabling Positive Experiences. The event is to encourage greater collaboration among facilities management communities and to recognise excellence in facilities management in Nigeria.
The event will highlight how facilities management plays an integral role in positive customer, client and employee experience in all sector.
In Nigeria, the Nigeria FM Initiative, an umbrella body for Facilities Managers in Nigeria has decided, for the first time this year, to have a single event to bring everybody together to celebrate the day.
The event is slated to hold at the International Conference Centre, Abuja on May 17, 2017.
In a statement issued by the body and signed by the National Steering Committee Chairman, Stephen Jagun and Secretary, Paul Erubami, they urged all Facilities Managers in Nigeria to attend the event in Abuja to discuss how facilities managers can, in their individual works and collectively, contribute to the governments push to create a positive business environment in Nigeria, quoting the words of Duncan Waddell, Chairman of Global FM, “The 2017 theme emphasises facilities management’s significant role in setting and managing the scene for and delivering exceptional customer experiences worldwide across multiple sectors.
