Stop Blaming One Another, Canada-based Cleric Advises PD

- Toronto in

Zacheaus Somorin Pastor Amos Dada of the Christ Apostolic Church(CAC) Bethel Toronto and Director of Mission CAC Bethel District of North America, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the ongoing blame game among its members over its electoral loss to All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a press statement made available to THISDAY in Toronto, the cleric, who is also the author of a book titled: To The Rescue(Say No To Corruption), stated that the party did not lose the last general election because it did not campaign well, but because it did not perform enough to have the confidence of Nigerians for another term in the presidency.

‘Stop blaming one another. That is not a mark of leadership. Your party did not lose because you did not campaign well. Your party lost because you did not perform well in the past five years if not sixteen years; so you have nothing to sell or tell or show the people’’

While berating the party for lack of commitment to develop the country, he noted that ‘’Nigerian voters have evolved - gone are the days party fails to perform and give people ‘stomach Infrastructure’ during election and they will vote for the party’’

‘’The third and most challenging is that your party was corrupt and you took the electorate for granted. You were confident that no matter how we handle the treasury it is our own. That was a great mistake - you do not own the treasury or the people’’, he further accused PDP.

He, however, advised All Progressives Congress (APC) to learn from the PDP’s failure. ‘’APC should learn to lead well. It is not enough to say we will fight corruption, they must fight it and develop the nation. Nigerians are leaving the country and seeking for asylum because of bad leadership’’, he added.
