Muoka: Sinful Living Hinders Prospertity

- By Chris Irekamba

THE Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, recently, held a crusade titled: “The King Has Decided To Honour You,” at its headquarters church in Ijesha, Lagos.

The programme, which holds every four years, drew worshippers and non- worshippers from within and outside the country.

Dignitaries that graced the programme included the presidential candidate of the Labour Party ( LP), Peter Obi and Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour; Abuja- based businessman, David O. David, among others.

Obi who has been attending the Lord’s Chosen events, even when he was Anambra State governor blamed Nigeria’s present predicament on bad leadership, saying that Nigerians have no reason to be poor and hungry.

“Nigeria is a great country, but our leaders are suffering us and this must stop. We want government that will make people to earn a living, provide jobs for the youths and give everyone a sense of belonging. So, I urge you to ask questions about the background of those you want to vote into power in 2023, because it is important,” he said.

The LP presidential candidate stressed government across the globe is set up to cater for the poor, but in Nigeria the purpose is to make the people to suffer. To change this, Nigerians have to pray to God for them to choose the right leader that will alleviate their suffering.

Obi said: “Don’t vote for somebody because he is from your area or belongs to your religion because no religion buys bread cheap in the market or any tribe enjoying the current sufferings in the country. Don’t vote for anybody because he says it is his turn. It is the turn of Nigerians to take back their country by voting for the right candidate in 2023.”

Admonishing the congregation, Pastor Muoka said that God’s blessings come with condition, which is: “No sinner will prosper unless he/ she confesses his/ her sins, asks God for mercy and accepts Jesus Christ as his/ her personal Lord and Saviour.

He added: “If you are not growing spiritually you will not grow materially. There is something that you need to do. If you are living in sin you will not prosper because righteousness is the grace of God, therefore, don’t cover your sin, because a Christian is not a sinner and a sinner is not a Christian.”

He urged Nigerians to denounce secret occult and online fraudsters, saying the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
