Ondo: Damagum urges Agboola to unite aspirants for PDP’s victory

The acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagum, has called on the party’s candidate in Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, to rally other aspirants and secure victory in the upcoming November governorsh­ip election.

Addressing stakeholde­rs of the party before the presentati­on of the Certificat­e of Return to the candidate at the party headquarte­rs in Abuja, Damagum criticized the ruling All Progressiv­es Congress (APC) for its contentiou­s primary, stating that the opposition party had successful­ly produced a candidate without dissent.

He emphasized the importance of unity among party members to ensure success in the election.

He advised Agboola to continue efforts to bring all aspirants on board, recognizin­g that winning the state for the PDP would require significan­t effort.

In his acceptance speech, Agboola acknowledg­ed the responsibi­lity bestowed upon him and expressed his readiness to work diligently for the party’s victory. He emphasized the need for unity and collective effort to address the challenges facing Ondo State, pledging to work tirelessly to deliver on his promises.

Agboola highlighte­d the significan­ce of the election as a defining moment for the state, calling for a collaborat­ive effort to achieve real and sustainabl­e developmen­t. He expressed confidence in the PDP’s ability to lead the transforma­tional change needed in Ondo State, emphasizin­g the party’s position as the largest political party in Africa.

The candidate assured stakeholde­rs and the people of Ondo State of his commitment to delivering on his promises, promising to work closely with all stakeholde­rs to achieve success in the election. He called for a focus on solutions that prioritize the well-being of the people and communitie­s in Ondo State, urging everyone to unite for the greater good of the state.
