Kurawa assumes duty as YUMSUK new VC

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, has assumed duty with a promise to serve the institution diligently to uplift its standards.

Kurawa was selected among eight professors shortlisted.

In his inaugural speech on Wednesday, the new VC promised to enhance internal revenue generation through innovative consultancy and also to establish self-sustaining postgraduate programmes through collaboration with relevant industries within and outside the country.

Until his appointment, Prof. Kurawa was the Rector of Kano State Polytechnic.
