Group urges Prof. Zullum to appoint people on merit

A group, Grand Coalition for Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 has urged Borno Governor elect Prof. Babagana Zullum to set up formidable state executive council based on merit and performance when he assumes duty come 29 May, 2019.

While congratulating entire All Progressive Congress family and the Governor elect the National Coordinator of the group, Dr. Ali Bakari Mohammed described the landslide victory in just concluded governorship election as reward for good work of the APC-led government to the populace.

“The election of Professor Babagana Zullum as the next Governor of Borno State is a testimony to his experience and acceptability by the good people of the state. I also wish to extend my hearty congratulations to President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) on his re-election and Governor Kashim Shettima on clinching the Borno Central senatorial ticket with a wide margin.

“Against this backdrop, I urge the Governor-elect to be the governor of all Borno citizens and continue to discharge his duties as the chief executive of the state. Prof. Zulum’s leadership qualities and qualification made him the best candidate and the most credible and dedicated personality to become the next governor of Borno State.

“I am urging the Governorelect of Borno State to constitute a formidable state executive council based on credentials and performance record when he assumes duty come 29 May, 2019.”

He noted that with his vast experience as an astute academic and administrator, the great people of Borno State are sure of reaping democratic dividends and development under his able leadership.

Dr. Bakari appealed to all Borno citizens to continue to pray hard for their newly elected governor for guidance and protection.

“In this regard, it is our responsibility to support him in taking us to the dream land and getting us out of our current situation,” he said.
