…Ex-APC gov’ship aspirant hails Buhari over Nguroje
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Vanguard, North East zone chapter, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Babangida Nguroje, as chairman of the governing board of Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) and all other appointees from the zone.
The secretary of the youth vanguard, Ahmad Babaiya Kombani, in a statement, urged the appointees to work towards accomplishing their mandate.
Kombani, who extolled the virtues of the former deputy speaker, described him as one of the strong pillars of the party in Taraba State and the North East.
He said that Nguroje worked for the people while he held sway as the deputy speaker and member of the lower chamber of the National Assembly, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment, employment, infrastructural development and quality representation.
In another press statement, the one-time governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former managing director, Nigerian Beverages Limited, Alhaji Umar Haruna, has described the appointment of the former deputy speaker as that of a round peg in a round hole.
According to Alhaji Haruna, the selfless disposition of the appointee and his record of hard work and commitment are glaring examples of one with the right temperament to chair the governing council of Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC).
“I commend the President for choosing somebody of such high integrity and we the people of Taraba are extremely grateful,” he also said.
