Former minister Gbadamosi buried in Lagos
The late Rasheed Gbadamosi, a former minister of National Planning and foremost industrialist who died on Wednesday night was buried in Lagos yesterday.
Gbadamosi who also served as chairman of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPRA) was laid to rest at his home at Kokoro Abu in Ikorodu area of the state according to Islamic rites.
Thousands of sympathizers, including his mates from the Methodist Boys High School (MBHS) Lagos participated in the burial. Among the dignitries were Chief Olusegun Osoba, a former governor of Ogun State and Musiliu Obanikoro, a former minister of state for defence.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the government and people of Lagos State on the death of a former Minister of National Planning, Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi.
Buhari, in a statement yesterday by his spokesman Femi Adesina, also extended condolences to all family members, friends and professional colleagues of the late economist, eminent industrialist, playwright and promoter of arts and culture.
The president urged them to be consoled by the fact that Gbadamosi's contributions in his diverse fields of life would be appreciated for a long time.
President Buhari prayed that the Almighty God grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family.
The chief of staff to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Samuel Olukunle Ojo led the state delegation to the burial.
Chief Osoba while speaking on the former minister said, he was known for creating records.
