‘Buhari is a Kwankwasiyya member’
Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said that the President-elect retired General Muhammadu Buhari is a member of his Kwankwassiyya movement because he believed in good governance and improving the general welfare of the society.
Kwankwaso, who said this yesterday during an interactive session with newsmen was responding to a question on whether his successor would sustain the movement since he is now going to the senate.
“Well I believe that leaders, the governor, deputy governor, members of the assembly, state and national, senators, everybody who are elected or not elected for whatever reason have seen the benefit of Kwankwassiya,” he said.
He added: “So Kwankwassiya as an ideology is good for everybody especially those who are with us, especially those who are objective. So it is in our collective interest here, in Abuja and elsewhere. Don’t forget Kwankwassiya is not only here in Kano, it’s not only in Abuja, it is there in every state of the federation.
“Anybody who is looking for change is already a member of Kwankwassiya, anybody who wants peace is a member of Kwankwassiya and anybody who wants to fight corruption is a member of Kwankwassiya, people who are working so hard to ensure our young men and women in this country get jobs are members of Kwankwassiya.
“So this ideology I believe is a good thing for all of us and automatically without even asking, even Buhari himself is a member of Kwankwassiya because he believes in what we do.”
