Liverpool targeting another home win

-

LIVERPOOL will look to maintain their good home record when they host West Ham United for a Premier League clash this afternoon.

The Reds bounced back from last weekend’s shock loss to Hull City to hammer Norwich City 5- 1 on Wednesday night with Luiz Suarez scoring four goals and then providing an assist for Raheem Sterling’s fifth and will look to continue from where he left off.

“The most important thing is that we won ( against Norwich). I helped the team and I am so happy,” he told the club’s website.

“It was very important to get the result because we lost the last game and we didn’t play very well.

“We know that when we play here and we’re at home, we can be strong and we have to win. I think it was important.”

Brendan Rodgers’ side remain in fourth place on the table with 27 points from 14 matches, 14 points ahead of West Ham who are currently in 17th place with 13 points.

The Hammers also go into this clash having lost three of their last four matches, including the most recent 1- 0 defeat against Crystal Palace.

Sam Alardyce’ side have just one of the seven games they have played on the road this season and will have to lift their performance to get a positive result at Anfield.

Former Reds striker Andy Carroll is still out with an injury but midfielder Joe Cole is likely to get a run against his former employers.
