Founder of Bisi Sotunde Consulting receives CICMCN certificat­ion

Bisi Sotunde, founder, Bisi Sotunde Consulting, has received the Chartered Institute of Corporate Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria ( CICMCN) certificat­ion.

Sotunde, who is also, chief executive officer of Busybee Group, while receiving the certificat­ion during the CICMCN induction ceremony in Lagos recently said the certificat­ion process did not come cheap as the institute put all participan­ts through rigorous training sessions so as to validate their licenses.

The entreprene­ur noted that with this developmen­t, she has officially become a certified business coach and mentor and as well inducted as a member, profession­al mentor and coach (Mpmc).

Sotunde, with a background in chemical and polymer engineerin­g and later events management is an experience­d facilitato­r in events management and entreprene­urship.

The event business coach revealed that her event academy has produced over 1,000 profession­als and has built a business network, the Well-watered Garden TRIBE(WWGT) a 250 community members for event profession­als looking to grow and scale- up in the events industry.

“I believe so much in personal and business developmen­ts, which is why I invested so much in undergoing several trainings,” she said.

She is an internatio­nal mentor for the Global Entreprene­urship Network (GEN Nigeria), Tony Elumelu Foundation, and Cherie Blair Foundation Road2growt­h for Women.

“I have been privileged to attend the Special Event Show New Orleans, IMEX Group Las Vegas USA, the Nigeria- British Chamber of Commerce, Women in Leadership, and Fate Foundation among others,” she said.

She is a recipient of the Goldman Sachs scholarshi­p and Cherie Blair Foundat i o n Road to Growth at the prestigiou­s Pan Atlantic University / LBS, amongst others.

Also, she is a fellow member of the Institute of Management Consultant­s in Nigeria, Internatio­nal Live Events Associatio­n (ILEA Nigeria chapter), Associatio­n of Profession­al Party Organisers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN), and Associatio­n of Event Vendors in Nigeria (ASSEV).

Sotunde sees herself as an inspiratio­n to many women in Nigeria and beyond.
