The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of a brand new Toyota Hilux truck key to the officials of the Nidigbo-amaka Progressives to enable the association to run its day-to-day administrative business at its secretariat in Lagos.

Another highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of Charles Izuchukwu Okafor, a Nollywood star actor, as the new brand ambassador of the AG Mortgage Bank.

Ndigbo-amaka association said its members would take advantage of the bank offers because of the incentives to grow their business, while AG Mortgage Bank says it has the capacity to provide any loan facilities to meet the expectations of its customers.

In a keynote address, Ngozi Anyaogu, managing director/ chief executive officer, AG Mortgage Bank Plc, stressed the importance of partnership, saying that the bank intends to provide a loan facility for members of the progressive association to enable them own shops and plazas across the country.

“We want Ndigbo-amaka to organize their members to access cooperative loans from our bank to fund their businesses. In the MOU, we consider giving out loans for houses and shops”, Anyaogu said.

He reposed confidence in the association, and its ability to service loans, adding that his bank’s vision for NdigboAmaka was beyond the current business agreements as it has so much more to offer in the future. The managing director also explained the choice of Charles Okafor as the face of the bank, saying, the company did due diligence on the actor before signing him on.

“The choice of Charles Okafor was an engagement after our findings that he had not had any reputation issue in the course of his acting career. Charles is a good face; he is somebody who can carry the image of our bank. He is the fitted profile based on his reputation”, the bank MD/ CEO said.

He noted that his company has a vision for family empowerment, through decent shelters and entrepreneurial engagement to stimulate economic development.
