Woman's Day (New Zealand)

HAYLEY HOLT

-

Woman’sDay may have published its first Kiwi edition nine years after Hayley Holt was born, but the co-host of TVNZ 1’s Breakfast show says she doesn’t remember life without it. “Woman’sDay was always there,” she tells. “Nana had it next door, my mum had it and I think the aunties had it. Everyone had the magazine.” And the 38-year-old admits she loves to flick to the celebrity gossip at the back and to any stories about the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston love triangle. “Even though it’s been going on for years and Angelina and Brad have split, they still feature,” Hayley says. “Will Jen get back with Brad? It’s awesome! Like it’s terrible but you still want to know.” With the magazine now 30, the blonde beauty reflects on how much she changed when she moved into her third decade. “I guess it’s the start of the awakening, finding yourself and being a little more secure as a person. Not worrying what other people are doing or thinking,” Hayley says. Realising that she was drinking too much, Hayley quit alcohol at the age of 34 and says “life is 1000 times better” – a story she shared with the Day. Hayley first appeared on the cover in a pink bikini when she was on Dancing with the Stars in 2009, and nearly 10 years later she was our 2018 Christmas cover girl after winning the Woman’sDay People’s Choice for Best TV Personality at the 2018 TV Awards. Smiles Hayley, “You feel very special when you’ve got a lot of people fussing around you, putting on a gorgeous dress and then you’re on the cover of Woman’sDay.”
