Ladies’ Classic at Kauri Cliffs

Australian celebrity TV star and ‘‘golf tragic’’ Kerri-Anne Kennerley is hosting a ‘‘friendly-competitive’’ golf event over two days at The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs in Matauri Bay, north of Kerikeri. Competitors can check in at leisure on Friday, May 9, and have a complimentary practice round as part of their stay and enjoy drinks before dinner in the lodge. Round one of the competition begins on Saturday with 18 holes on the Kauri Cliffs course. The three-course dinner that night will be hosted by Kennerley, who will share stories from her years of meeting and interviewing people for television. The tournament continues on Sunday with round two, followed by a buffet lunch and prize ceremony. Guests can also experience the Kauri Cliffs Spa during their stay, set amid a totara forest on the property. The tariff for the Ladies Golf Classic is $800 plus GST per person, per night based on twin or double occupancy, a two-night reservation over the tournament date is required. The tariff includes entry in the Annual Ladies Golf Classic, accommodation, pre-dinner drinks and canapes, dinner, full breakfast and a complimentary mini bar excluding liquor and wine. A two-night minimum stay applies. Additional nights are available at a reduced tariff of $600 plus GST per person, per night based on twin or double occupancy and includes the same food and drinks package.
