Ladies’ Classic at Kauri Cliffs

Australian celebrity TV star and ‘‘golf tragic’’ Kerri-Anne Kennerley is hosting a ‘‘friendly-competitiv­e’’ golf event over two days at The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs in Matauri Bay, north of Kerikeri. Competitor­s can check in at leisure on Friday, May 9, and have a compliment­ary practice round as part of their stay and enjoy drinks before dinner in the lodge. Round one of the competitio­n begins on Saturday with 18 holes on the Kauri Cliffs course. The three-course dinner that night will be hosted by Kennerley, who will share stories from her years of meeting and interviewi­ng people for television. The tournament continues on Sunday with round two, followed by a buffet lunch and prize ceremony. Guests can also experience the Kauri Cliffs Spa during their stay, set amid a totara forest on the property. The tariff for the Ladies Golf Classic is $800 plus GST per person, per night based on twin or double occupancy, a two-night reservatio­n over the tournament date is required. The tariff includes entry in the Annual Ladies Golf Classic, accommodat­ion, pre-dinner drinks and canapes, dinner, full breakfast and a compliment­ary mini bar excluding liquor and wine. A two-night minimum stay applies. Additional nights are available at a reduced tariff of $600 plus GST per person, per night based on twin or double occupancy and includes the same food and drinks package.
