The Best of the Week

SATURDAY JANUARY 27

Australian Open Tennis (Sky Sport 4, 054, 9.00pm). The women’s singles final is at 9.00pm; those keen enough to stay up can also catch the men’s doubles, starting at midnight. With any luck, Sunday will involve a sleepin, then at 6.00pm there’s the mixed doubles final and at 9.00pm the men’s singles. Are we there yet?

MONDAY JANUARY 29

60th Annual Grammy Awards Live (TVNZ 2, 2.00pm). James Corden hosts and Lady Gaga and Pink perform, but be warned that it’s also likely to involve a lot of Andrew Lloyd Webber. TVNZ Duke repeats the free coverage at 8.00pm. Those with Sky can start at 9.30am with Live from the Red Carpet and wind up with the after-party show (E!, 014) at 5.00pm.

Then he’s off to fancy shops to pick out ugly light shades, before going to Sharon’s new pad, where he expertly constructs drama around the minutiae of paint drying. “Oh, I’m going to pee myself,” she croons on seeing it. Job done, darling.

Love It or List It Australia (Living, Sky 017, 8.30pm). Kirstie and Phil forever! Grumble, mutter. But I’ll admit, their format works just as well in Brisbane as it does in Birmingham. Take one telegenic couple at loggerheads over where to live. Have one host (here, The Block’s Neale Whitaker) renovate their current place while the other ( Selling Houses’ Andrew Winter) rustles up a bunch of enticing new abodes. Sprinkle the whole lot with plenty of bickering over whether the couple will choose to stay where they
