Police probe death of Khorixas man

The police have launched an investigat­ion into a suspected murder case, where a 38-yearold Khorixas man died after sustaining serious stab wounds to the abdomen.

The victim, Arnold Eiseb, was brought to the hospital in a critical condition and was immediatel­y transferre­d to Windhoek, where he succumbed to injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday at a house in Khorixas.

“It is alleged that the victim allegedly fell on the ground while holding two empty bottles of beers and one broken bottle stabbed him on the stomach; an investigat­ion is launched, as murder is suspected,” said the report.

At Otjimbingw­e, a 49-year-old man died instantly after he was discovered hanging from a plank in a shade right in front of his girlfriend’s home.

According to the serious crime report, it is alleged a quarrel broke out between the victim and his girlfriend.

“It is alleged that the girlfriend requested the deceased to take his belongings and leave her house peacefully; however, he refused and thus local police were summoned to solve the problem,” said the police.

It is further reported that the victim refused to take his belongings in the presence of the police officers by saying his items might be given to one man who was seated there and he subsequent­ly left the house.

The victim was discovered by the children who were sent by the victim’s girlfriend to fetch things at her house.

In the same area on Saturday, at about 10:45 at Sout Post Urigaub, Priscilla Diana Isaack, a 35-year-old woman, was found dead in a sleeping tent.

It is alleged the victim went to sleep in the tent without any complain while her boyfriend went to sleep in the car.

“The next morning, around 10:45, her boyfriend allegedly found her dead in the tent where she used to sleep. The body was transporte­d to Walvis Bay Police mortuary for post- mortem examinatio­n to determine the cause of death. Next of kin were informed and investigat­ion continues,” reads the serious crime report.

At Onayena on Saturday, at around 20h50 at Ompugulu village, a 22- year- old man, Ngalangobe David, died after he was stabbed with an unknown object on the left upper side of the chest. He tried to run away but fell in the mud few meters from the scene.

It is reported the victim was fighting with the suspect at Onamulyo location – and in the process, he was stabbed and died.

A 43-year-old suspect was arrested and was due to appear in court.
