Law on traffic reduction approved

Draft laws were approved at the regular session of the parliament on December 7. The attendance of the parliament members was 61.1 percent.

At the beginning of the session, the Speaker of the Parliament G.Zandanshat­ar said, “According to the Law on Parliament Order, it is stipulated that the bills will be approved at the regular session of the Parliament on every Friday. Also, if the attendance of the session meets the requiremen­ts for the final approval of the bill, it can be approved on other days and time.”

Thus, the draft law on reducing traffic congestion and moving ger district to apartments in Ulaanbaata­r city has finally approved with 93.2 percent of the votes of the members. Regarding the draft law, Governor of Ulaanbaata­r City Kh.Nyambaatar said, “The limit of license plates issued in Ulaanbaata­r City is included in the legal drafts. The rights of license plate holders will not be restricted in this context.”

At the session, the parliament members approved a total of 12 laws and amendments. The parliament also approved amendments to the Law on Execution of Court Decisions, to Law on Prevention of Crimes, to Law on Tax of Capital City, and to Law on Urban Developmen­t. Moreover, they also approved amendments to the Law on Consent, to Law on Civil Service, to Law on Customs Duty Exemption, and to Law on Investigat­ion and Settlement Disputes. In addition, the parliament passed the Law on Urban Redevelopm­ent, Law on Legal Status of Ulaanbaata­r city, Law on Personal Income Tax, and Law on Corporate Income Tax.
