Parliament lists most active lawmakers of spring session
Throughout its spring session, Parliament held 27 sessions for nearly 133 hours and its standing committees and sub-committees held 101 meetings for over 180 hours to discuss, review and adopt more than 400 issues in their agendas.
Head of Parliament’s Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science Yo.Baatarbileg was the most active lawmaker during the spring session as he attended all parliamentary and standing committees’ meetings.
As Member of Parliament B.Bat-Erdene gave speeches 49 times and put questions 44 times for a total of 103 minutes, he was the most active talker during spring session.
MP B.Bat-Erdene actively attended spring session, but he also participated in other parliamentary activities such as the parliamentary task force to review the implementation of the Oyu Tolgoi investment agreement,
As Female lawmaker B.Bilegt spoke 20 times and questioned 61 times for 79 minutes, and L.Bold of the Democratic Party and O.Baasankhuu of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party addressed Parliament 18 times for 67 minutes in total, they were talkative lawmakers for spring session.
Parliament approved amendments to the Act of Parliament last month, which will enter into force in October. Starting fall session, lawmakers’ attendance records will be reported to the public every month.
