In a post on Facebook, Express Trailers Chairman and CEO Franco Azzopardi wrote:

“This is a sad message, one that I should never have to sit down and write. A goodbye message to one of our people, CHRIS MARLIN, who tragically lost his life last night, riding his motorbike.

“Chris was one of our drivers, a member of our ORANGE TEAM, a member of our growing family and one of our road ambassadors. And as fate would have it, he left us on the very same roads he so diligently carried out his job with us.

“Our thoughts and our prayers are now with his family and his friends whom he loved and cared for and who respected him for his great qualities which we as a company, also saw and valued in him.

“On behalf of the Vella family, we thank you Chris, for your years of dedicated service, for your professionalism and your loyalty. We will remember you fondly and with gratitude. Most importantly, we will always remember how having you as part of our team, enriched us and made us all the more special.”
