Lancaster6 donates safety boat to SailCoach Foundation

SailCoach Foundation, a leading provider of sail training services in Malta, who operates the Royal Malta Yacht Club Sailing School was recently presented with a new safety boat by Lancaster6, an internatio­nal developmen­t consultanc­y firm with a base in Malta.

The safety boat will further enhance the safety practices and procedures that the Foundation has in place and which are implemente­d during the course of all training sessions.

Lancaster6’sCEO Durrant, an avid Christiaan sailor said: “Our choice to support the SailCoach Foundation­s stems from the numerous syngeries they have with Lancaster6 – both organisati­ons work towards developing emerging nations. From our side, we assist nations to govern for tomorrow and in SailCoach’s they help them develop through forging a sporting culture, assisting their sailing athletes achieve Olympic qualificat­ion and in some cases, Olympic Medals.”

SailCoach Foundation currently operates the Royal Malta Yacht Club’s Sailing School and offers dinghy sailing courses for all ages seven and above from the Foundation’s base at the Royal Malta Yacht Club, Ta' Xbiex.

The SailCoach Foundation’s founder, Trevor Millar, said: “It is good to see organisati­ons like Lancaster6 giving back to the local community. The donation of this safety boat will greatly assist the Royal Malta Yacht Club Sailing School in training Maltese school children to sail as well as in our Olympic coaching programmes.”
