Diego Simeone’s men dominate to leap into the La Liga top four

-

Atletico Madrid kept pace with the leading pack in La Liga by easing to a 3-0 victory over Osasuna.

Diego Simeone’s side were in the ascendancy for the majority of the tie, in which two quick-fire first half goals put the result beyond all doubt.

Two goals in quick succession saw Atletico Madrid on the way to victory

Diego Godin tucked away a close range header on 35 minutes.

Kevin Gameiro doubled the lead with a right-footed drive a minute later.

The win propels Atletico up to fourth in La Liga, just behind Barcelona.

French forward Kevin Gameiro opened the scoring for Atleti with a low, right-footed drive, before stalwart Diego Godin converted Koke’s corner less than two minutes later.
