Malta taking part in Company sports games
Malta will be taking part in the Company sports games in Riccione, Italy between tomorrow and Saturday.
This was disclosed by the Parliamentary Secretary for Sports Chris Agius during a news conference yesterday morning.
The Maltese contingent will consist of 43 athletes and officials.
Accompanying the group will be Mark Marlow, president of Malta Employees Sports Association (MESA) whose athletes will form part of the contingent. He said it was the first time such a big contingent was taking part in these games.
Association secretary and team leader Mario Saliba said that around 8,000 athletes are expected to take part in this 20th edition of the games. Malta is taking part in football, badminton, bowling and darts.
The contingent is made up of the following:
