MSU scores eight
MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) bagged two gold, three silver and three bronze medals at the recent International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2018 competition organised by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS).
The gold medal winners are Dr P.M. Ridzuan from the university’s International Medical School (IMS) who presented a new, natural antifungal cream called Dermacol, and Nur Shazwany Zamani from the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) who presented a portable, lightweight, low-cost and high-accuracy Arduino-based writing machine.
MSU faculty member, Dr Mohamed N. Abdulrazaq, contributed a silver medal with his “New Developed Technique for Welding Dissimilar Steels” invention.
The other silver medal winners are Dr Ruzaina Ishak from the Faculty of Health and Life Science (FHLS) with her “Development of Inulin as Sugar Replacer for Jelly Drink (Jelly-Lin)”, and Dr Neni Widiasmoro Selamat with “Interactive Animated Video for Parents and Caregivers of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder”.
The three bronze medal winners are Dr Musab Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al-Rawi for “Iris Recognition System for Windows Security”, Dr Safaa Najah Saud Al-Humairi for “Arduino-based Quad-copter with Monitoring Camera”, and Dr
