Rehda completes Rm1.25mil equipment contribution to hospitals
PETALING JAYA: The Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) Malaysia has completed its contribution to five Covid-19 hospitals in the Klang Valley with the delivery recently of personal protective equipment (PPE) sets, face masks and hand sanitisers to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).
This brings Rehda’s total contribution to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic to Rm1.25mil since 2020.
Kuala Lumpur Rehda chapter chairman Chan Kin Meng and deputy chairman Ra Adrina Muztaza delivered the contribution to Hospital Kuala Lumpur deputy director (surgical) Dr Fairoz Azlim Muslim.
Dr Fairoz said the donations were high-volume items needed for daily use in the hospital.
“On average, our frontliners need to change their PPE up to four times a day. We would like to thank Rehda for the contribution and support in our fight against the pandemic.
“Donations of essential items such as PPE and bottled drinking water are much appreciated,” he said.
Since July 22, Rehda has been making a concerted effort to provide assistance to five hospitals namely Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Selayang, Hospital Ampang, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
These hospitals have also received critical care equipment such as ventilators, Infusomat infusion pumps, perfusion pumps, cardiac monitors,
defibrillators and nasal cannula.
Rehda Malaysia president Datuk Soam Heng Choon said they recognised the dire situation and its severe impact on the country and the healthcare system.
“The contributions are part of our civic duty as Malaysians. We hope that the items would help in the fight against the disease and for the hospitals to provide optimal care to those infected.
“We hope all Malaysians will continue to work together and lend support to those in need.
“We would also like to thank all frontliners for their sacrifice and selfless labour and pray that with collective efforts, the pandemic will end soon,” he said.
