Singer Aiman hopes to bounce back after dip in popularity

-

SINGER Aiman Tino admits that his popularity has dimmed slightly after he took some time off from showbusiness this year, reported

Sinar Harian.

The Ku Rela Dibenci hitmaker, whose real name is Mohammad Aiman Yusri, however hoped to bounce back soon and have a good start to his career next year.

“After being on a long break, I will be active in various activities as planned and also gain back my popularity,” he said.

Aiman, 21, acknowledged that the response from his fans on social media was no longer as “warm” as before.

For example, he could judge the situation based on the “likes” that he got on Instagram, said Aiman, who recently launched his first album Anugerah Terbaik.

Aiman said that this year, he was not very active on social media as he wanted a break from it.

Thus, he said he could understand why the fans have not been as responsive as they wanted something new and interesting from their favourite artistes.

> It was a heart-wrenching moment at the convocation ceremony of International Islamic University Malaysia when a father went onstage to receive a posthumous degree on behalf of his son.

Berita Harian reported that Ibrahim Mahmud, 60, received the degree in business administration awarded to his son, Mohd Aqmal Ibrahim, 24, who died in October last year due to lymphoma.

Ibrahim said that initially, he did not want to attend the convocation but decided to do so later when he thought of how much his son longed to receive his degree onstage.

“Although my son is no longer alive, I’m glad to have fulfilled his wish,” said Ibrahim.

Mohd Aqmal, who was the youngest in the family, had completed his internship in Shah Alam in September last year. However, he was admitted to a hospital in Sarawak later that month.

“He did not show any signs of having a chronic disease. We didn’t expect him to have cancer.”
