Over 100 exhibitors ballot for places at venues
PETALING JAYA: More than 100 exhibitors turned up at The Star Education Fair balloting session at Menara Star to vie for the most strategic booths at the event which will take place next month and in January.
The first fair is scheduled for Dec 9 and 10 at Convention 33, Prangin Mall, in Penang while The Star Education Fair 2018 will be on Jan 6 and 7 at Exhibition Halls One to Five of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The biggest exhibitors at the KLCC event will be Limkokwing University of Creative Technology with 18 booths, followed by Penang Medical College ( PMC) and Education In Ireland which will be sharing 18 booths.
Education in Ireland Malaysia education consultant Cormac Kavanagh said visitors can expect to get information on all things related to an Irish education.
“There will be representatives from eight Irish higher education institutions who will talk about their non-medical courses,” he said.
Those interested in pursuing a medical degree in Ireland won’t have to go far because PMC is sharing space with Education in Ireland.
The globally recognised PMC medical programme is an Irish education that begins in Ireland and with students completing their degrees in Penang.
PMC marketing communications executive Lavaniah Kumaraysun said professors and graduate students will be present to share their experiences with parents and potential students.
Several lucky exhibitors won prizes in a special draw held at the end of the balloting session.
The fair will be open from 11am to 7pm and admission is free.
