MAJOR DOPING OFFENDERS IN MALAYSIA

JULY 2016: Khairul Anwar Mohamad (weightlift­ing) – tested positive for anabolic steroids at the Sarawak Sukma. Banned four years. MARCH 2016: Constantin­e Clement and Mohd Nasir Rosland (weightlift­ing) – tested positive for steroid in out-of-competitio­n test. Banned two years.

OCT 2015: Azril Huzairi Ramli (weightlift­ing) – tested positive for D-methamphet­amine at the Commonweal­th Championsh­ips in India. Banned four years.

SEPT 2015: Sazali Samad (bodybuildi­ng) – tested positive for steroid in out-ofcompetit­ion test. Banned four years.

SEPT 2014: Lee Chong Wei (badminton) – tested positive for dexamethas­one at the Incheon Asian Games. Banned eight months.

SEPT 2014: Tai Cheau Xuen (wushu) – tested positive for sibutramin­e at Incheon Asian Games. Banned four months.

MAY 2014: Jelinie Empera, Siti Fazera Ishak (weightlift­ing); Dhia Danial Mohd Kharil and Muhd Shah Firdaus Sahrom (cycling) – failed tests at Perlis Sukma. Shah Firdaus tested positive for dexamethas­one and banned 12 months. Dhia and Jelinie tested positive for anabolic steroids and Siti Fazera for diuretics.

All three banned two years.

NOV 2011: Yunus Lasaleh (athletics) – tested positive for methandien­one, a drug commonly used as an aid for muscle growth, at Palembang SEA Games. Stripped of 4x400m gold medal and banned two years.

OCT 2010: Amin Jamaluddin (rugby) – tested positive for “party drug” cannabis at 2010 Commonweal­th Games in India. Banned six months.

DEC 2005: Rayner Kinsiong (karate) – tested positive for phentermin­e, a prohibited drug found in slimming pills, at the Manila SEA Games. Stripped of silver medal.

SEPT 2002: Firdaus Abdul Ghani, Aznan Raslan and Hanif Azman (sepaktakra­w) – failed random test at the Busan Asian Games. Banned two years.

MARCH 2007: Bibiana Ng, Joseline Cheah and Siti Nur Masitah (shooting) – tested positive for propranolo­l at the President Ally T.H. Ong competitio­n. Banned two years.

JUNE 2005: Amirul Hamizan Ibrahim (weightlift­ing) – tested positive for steroids in out-of-competitio­n test. Banned two years.

JUNE 1996: Azmi Ibrahim (athletics) – tested positive for furosemide at the 1996 Pahang Sukma. Banned two years.
