NEWCASTLE University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed) now offers an alternative and more efficient route to medical school for those aspiring to become medical doctors.
The Foundation Certificate
The 12-month course is based in Malaysia at Newcastle University’s fully owned medical campus – NUMed. The Foundation Certificate in Biological and Biomedical Science can be taken as a substitute to the final year of A-Levels. There is a bonus for students who meet the course requirements, potentially securing an official place in NUMed.
There are multiple benefits that come with the course compared to other academic routes. About NUMed
Newcastle University UK has established an international branch campus in Johor, Malaysia, to provide its undergraduate degrees in Medicine (MBBS) and the Biomedical Sciences (BSc). Both programmes offer opportunities for periods of study in the UK.
A one-year Foundation Certificate in Biological and Biomedical Sciences is also available, the successful completion of which will lead to progression to the MBBS or BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences programme.
