Inspired by the sea
GERMAN skincare brand Dalton Marine Cosmetics has arrived with a range of marine skin care products to cater to different skin concerns.
Founded by Erika Bauer in 1976, the products are formulated using marine derived ingredients with advanced German technology.
The brand goes by the principle that primeval power of the sea helps to enhance the beauty of skin.
With the tagline Inspired by the Sea, Dalton has conducted endless research on sea materials in efforts to develop products for radiant and youthful looking skin.
The celumer marine extract is the basis of its anti-ageing cosmetics. It combines some of the best maritime active ingredients sourced mainly from the French Atlantic coast. It includes plankton, caviar, algae, oyster, seawater and shell.
Dalton Marine Cosmetics’ head of training Kathrin Sommer says marine ingredients are often the choice for skincare products as they are rich in minerals, vitamins and anti-ageing benefits.
“The celumer marine extract is really special as it harnesses the best of each maritime ingredient. Our customers have seen positive improvement in their skin within four weeks, especially moisture, collagen build-up and elasticity. It helps to strenghten skin cell against UV rays,” said Sommer who had flown in from Germany for the launch in Petaling Jaya recently.
Its speciality products include the Q10 range for dull and fatigued skin. The Oyster range caters for oily and acne-prone skin while the Extreme Lift range helps to smoothen facial wrinkles. The S.E.A range, also known as the Stem Cell range, assists in defining facial contours and rejuvenating skin’s appearance. – Sheela Chandran
