Berluti unveils men’s beach essentials for Summer 2016.

THE bespoke men's shoemaker has announced a summer capsule collection of men's essentials for days at the beach.

The French shoemaker has been branching out for a few years now, diversifying its product lines with new collections.

Specialising in bespoke men's footwear since 1895, the label launched a line of leather goods in 2005, followed by a ready- to- wear clothing line in 2011, under the auspices of former artistic director, Alessandro Sartori.

The firm has also opened a bespoke tailoring service in selected stores.

For Spring/ Summer 2016, the collection includes espadrilles, plus a luxury bat and ball set, bathing suit and beach bag.

After making a major comeback a few seasons ago, the espadrille has been revisited by Berluti for 2016. The firm's hand- made shoes come with rubber soles encased in rope and an upper finished in natural, unlined kangaroo leather. A Scritto canvas version is also available. Berluti's summer footwear is accompanied by another must- have beach accessory, a bat and ball set.

This has been designed in collaboration with Beach Access, a French firm specialising in luxury beach goods.

Also handmade, the paddles are crafted from several types of wood ( sycamore heartwood and angouma) and their handles are adorned ned with Venezia leather grips.

The sets are available in two c olours, Rosso or Blu, and include a a ball made from natural rubber anda leather.

The collection also includes a bathing suit made from a high- re esistance, waterproof material ( av vailable in three colours), and a beac ch bag made from cotton and linen with a grained leather trim. – AF FP Relaxnews
