WhISKY lovers rejoice! Malaysia’s first ever whisky festival – The heart of The Run 2015 Whisky Festival – will be held on March 8, from 2-5pm at The Bee at Publika, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur.

The event provides the opportunity to taste and learn about the different types of whisky in an intimate environment – perfect for budding whisky connoisseurs and seasoned whisky lovers alike to explore new and unique brands in the market.

The whisky brands that will be available for tasting at the festival include well-known brands like Glenmorangie, highland Park, Glen Grant, The Glenlivet, Ardbeg; unique malts from Arran, Oban and Bunnahabhain; Japanese whisky from Nikka, and even Wild Turkey bourbon.

Throughout this day-long event, you will get to sample the various whiskies at each individual tasting booth, while learning about the process of how each whisky is made, distinguishing the different aromas and flavours, and discovering the unique aspects of each whisky-producing region.

Besides the tasting sessions, there will also be a talk by guest whisky expert Ben Ng of Fluid Alchemy, as well as specialty whisky cocktails made by guest bartenders such as Karl Too and Janice Lau from Omakase + Appreciate, Ash from Nobu KL, Angel Ng from hit & Mrs, and Erik from 44bar.

Tickets are priced at RM150 (early bird) and RM180 (at the door), which includes a limited-edition whisky tasting glass, as well as lunch and tea. You can purchase them at both The Bee outlets in Publika and Jaya One, Petaling Jaya.
