KCROA shows appreciation to Kapit Hospital frontliners with food contribution
Kapit Coffee Shop and Restaurant Owners Association (KCROA) yesterday handed over a contribution of dried foodstuff to Kapit Hospital to add to an earlier donation of personal protective equipment.
The items were presented by association chairman Ma Tian Ho to Kapit Hospital director Dr Ivan Vun.
Joining them were KCROA adviser Wong Leong Chong, deputy chairman Ngu Tze Kiong, vice chairman Jason Kong, secretary Soh Weng Tong, treasurer Kong Aik Ming and general affairs officer Wong Lip Seng.
“KCROA is a non-governmental organisation that is committed to voluntary services. From time to time, we raise funds among ourselves to buy items for schools such as computers, printers, desks and chairs.
“Today (yesterday) we are giving biscuits, coffee, instant noodles and other beverages to healthcare workers at the hospital in appreciation of their role in looking after the health of the people here,” said Ma.
On a separate matter, Ma called on all KCROA members to strictly follow the standard operating procedures set by the authorities to curb the spread of Covid-19.
He reminded them to have ready temperature scanner, visitor logbook, hand sanitiser, and the MySejahtera QR code at their respective premises.
“Keep in mind that dineins are currently not allowed. For customers coming in for takeaways, make sure they have their face mask on and comply with physical distancing requirements,” he added.
