BCCK offers CNY grand reunion buffet dinner, takeaway promotions
KUCHING: Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is offering Chinese New Year (CNY) grand reunion buffet dinner and takeaway promotions to usher in the ‘Year of the Ox’.
The grand reunion buffet dinner, to run from 6pm to 10pm on Feb 11, can be booked online.
Pricing is RM88 nett per adult and RM38 nett per child.
“Walk-in dinner guests can purchase tickets at RM100 and RM50, per adult and child, respectively,” said BCCK in a statement yesterday.
The buffet would feature various stalls serving food fresh from the pan to diners, including roast duck, ‘yee sang’, fried ‘nian gao’, laksa, noodle soup, fried wantans, fried kueh teow, steamed dim sums and Chinese lotus soup.
There would also be stations offering ice-cream, ABC, ‘cendol’ and ‘leng chee kang’.
Main dishes would include spaghetti aglio olio, yam fried rice, Indian fish curry with okra and eggplant, ‘Daging Masak Hitam Sarawak’, ‘Ayam Masak Merah’, squid with ‘kong pao’ sauce, prawns with rock salt, Japanese beancurd with seafood, roast chicken, mixed vegetables with lotus root and bamboo shoot with anchovies, cooked Malaystyle.
The sweet treats at the dessert station would include festive specialties like pineapple tarts, ‘kuih sepit’, ‘kuih bunga’ and ‘kuih bahulu’, ‘nian gao’ with fresh desiccated coconut and ‘gula apong’, fresh fruits and of course, Mandarin oranges – in addition to assorted cupcakes, créme caramel, tiramisu, assorted puddings, bread pudding, eclairs, assorted French pastries and also, a chocolate fountain.
In addition, BCCK is also featuring its festive takeaway menu – applicable from Feb 11 to 26 – featuring CNY musthaves such as BCCK’s special prosperity sliced abalone ‘yee sang’, priced from RM38 nett for medium (M) serving for four to five people; and RM88 nett for large (L) serving for five to eight people.
Also on the takeaway menu are braised lamb with sweet blackpepper sauce at RM68 (M) and RM98 (L); butter cheese prawn at RM88 nett (M) and RM128 nett (L); noodles with minced chicken and mushroom at RM28 nett (M) and RM48 nett (L); as well as fruity fish with red mayo at RM78 nett (M) and RM118 nett (L).
