StanChart appoints Wong Hooi Ching as head of financial institutio­ns

KUCHING: Standard Chartered Malaysia has appointed Wong Hooi Ching as its head of Financial Institutio­ns.

A seasoned banker with 18 years of experience in the industry, Hooi Ching joined the bank in September 2016 as the Country head of Transactio­n Banking.

In her new role, Hooi Ching will be responsibl­e for developing and executing the client agenda as well as managing and strengthen­ing relationsh­ips between Standard Chartered and its Financial Institutio­ns (FI) client base.

Hooi Ching has extensive experience working with a large number of Malaysian and multinatio­nal corporatio­ns and financial institutio­ns to structure and implement complex domestic and cross-border solutions to address cashflow and working capital efficiency requiremen­ts.

Before joining Standard Chartered, she held senior roles in business management, sales and product management with various global banks. Hooi Ching holds an Economics degree from the University of Manchester, UK.
