Boulevard Hypermarke­t Imperial Mall holds Gawai, Hari Raya promotion

MIRI: This year’s mid-year festive celebratio­ns are said to be unique as both the Dayak community and Muslims celebrate Gawai Dayak and Hari Raya Aidilfitri just two days apart.

In view of this, Boulevard Hypermarke­t Imperial Mall has stocked up a host of festive items which include food, drinks and clothing specially for this double festive occasion.

Those shopping for their Hari Raya clothing could find rows of various Malay a ires being displayed at Level 1 which include the ‘ Baju Melayu’, ‘ samping’ ‘ and songkok’ for men and boys.

For the women, there are‘Baju Kurung’ and ‘Baju Kebaya’.

For this year’s Hari Raya celebratio­n, the hypermarke­t is featuring the newly designed ‘slim fit’ Baju Melayu for men and boys, said Boulevard Hypermarke­t marketing manager Alan Lee.

He added there are even ‘family sets’ clothing where parents along with their children could choose just one specific design.

Furthermor­e, the prices are significan­tly lower compared to the ones sold in boutiques and fashion stores, he said.

Boulevard Family Card members can get extra discounts when shopping at its department­al store and hardline department.

Lee also revealed that the hypermarke­t is offering discounts of up to 80 per cent on many of its clothing and fashion wear.

And since it is Ramadan, the hypermarke­t is also well-stocked with imported dates from India, Egypt and the Middle East.

The hypermarke­t has also prepared an assortment of titbits, cookies, sweets that come in containers and small jars.

There are also fruit cakes and ‘kek lapis’ (layer cakes) on sale there.

Customers could also find a ractively designed acrylic candy trays at its hardline department on Level 4.

Recently arrived items also include fresh organic pomegranat­e juice that come in ready-to-drink bo les. Fresh honey are available there too.

According to Lee, the hypermarke­t will hold a special one-day Gawai sale this coming Sunday (May 26) while the following Sunday (June 2), there will be a one-day Hari Raya sale where customers are entitled to get RM10 gift vouchers with every purchase of RM125 when shopping during these two days.
