CT Academic to hold SPM Education Fair
MIRI: CT Academic will be holding a CT SPM Education Fair tomorrow ( Mar 15) at Grand Palace Hotel here from 1pm- 5pm.
Representatives from numerous universities will be there to give advice and guidance to those who seek to further their studies and admission is free.
In its press statement, CT Academic said the education fair is especially organised for school leavers who have just received their 2018 SPM and STPM results.
There is also a booth offering professional financial advices to parents such as on education loan and opening of accounts by Public Bank.
The institutions taking part at the are Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Curtin University Malaysia, Taylor’s University and College, HELP University,
The University of Nottingham Malaysian campus, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak campus, James Cook University Singapore, SEGi University and Nilai University. Students can also grab early promotions such as bursaries, registration fee waivers and discounts on tuition fees.
CT Academic is also offering CT Bursary Award to the first five students who enrol and pay their fees on-the-spot.
Students who apply for Curtin University Malaysia March and April intakes can take up degree programmes in petroleum engineering, applied geology, and environmental engineering locally at the Miri campus.
Curtin University Malaysia is also celebrating its 20th anniversary in Malaysia by offering scholarships ranging from 50 per cent to 100 per cent to students who had just received their SPM, STPM, O Level, A Level and UEC results for last year examinations.
Taylor’s College and University, which is one of the top private universities in Malaysia, are also offering full scholarships to students who excelled in the academic, extracurricular fields and showed talent in music drama and leadership skills.
Excellence Award scholarships are offered to students who scored 5As and above in their actual SPM results for Foundation Studies or just 3As for diploma programmes. A RM500 rebate is available for students who register for Asia Pacific University of Technology (A. P.U) programmes at the education fair.
East Malaysian students are also eligible for 15 per cent discount and students with good results can apply for the university’s merit scholarships. A. P.U is highly ranked in Malaysia for its information technology and computing programmes.
It offers many majors from computer science, software engineering, Internet technology, computer games development, multimedia technology and many more.
University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus offers a worldclass British education which is ranked among the top 100 universities worldwide.
Designed to reflect University Park Campus in Nottingham, it is a self- contained, vibrant village situated on an attractive and landscaped 125- acre site. The university has around 5,000 students and around 700 teaching and administrative staff from all over the world.
Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak offers internationally recognised Australian degree at one-third the cost of studying in Australia. It has successfully retained its 5- star rating in the Ministry of Higher Education’s latest Rating for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia ( SETARA) 2017 for fourth consecutive time, with this year being the first under the Mature University category.
The university is currently offering national grant of RM2,000 to RM3,000 for students applying for its programmes and a RM5,000 bursary for its Diploma in Business programme.
HELP University meanwhile is offering UEC students bursary grants starting from 25 per cent per year. Foundation programme in Science and Art allows students to transfer to many of its overseas partner universities.
James Cook University Singapore offers affordable and fast-track Australian programme in Singapore and one of their most popular programmes is Early Childhood Education.
Nilai University located in Negeri Sembilan offers Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Agriculture and many other programmes at very low cost.
Meanwhile, SEGi University is offering free Foundation Studies in Science and Arts to any students continuing with their degree.
Besides this event, CT is also holding application days throughout the month of March and students can walk-in or make an appointment to meet with the institution staff and have a longer counselling session.
