Aeroville Mall to mark official opening with half marathon
KUCHING: Aeroville Mall Sdn Bhd will be holding its inaugural Aeroville Half Marathon 2019 at Jalan Stutong Baru on May 5.
The event will be held in conjunction with the official opening of the mall, and is organised together with Revolution Run and Happy Runners Club.
“The primary objective for this event is to promote a happy and healthy lifestyle amongst the public,” it said in a press statement yesterday.
The half-marathon will be divided into three categories – 21km Men, Women and Veterans (for those aged 45 and above); 10km Men and Women; and 5km Fun Walk/Run.
Those interested can visit Revolution Run at Level 1 Green Heights Mall and register for the event up till March 31.
Registration fee for the 10km category is RM65, 21km ( RM75) and Fun Walk/Run ( RM50).
Cash prizes of over RM23,000 and many attractive lucky draw prizes are being offered, with the champion of the 21km Men and Women category set to receive RM1,200, while the champion of the 21km Veterans category will get RM1,000.
The first 1,000 who sign up during this promotional period will be given a limited edition sports bottle on a first- come, firstserved basis, while participants of all categories are entitled to two pairs of exclusive U Drift Tshirt and a finisher’s medal upon completing their run.
In addition, the first 100 finishers are to receive a special edition Top100 finisher’s towel while others will be rewarded with additional tees.

Meanwhile, the recentlyconstructed Aeroville Mall is described as an up- and coming premier commercial destination, with Econsave, local restaurant operator Hoi Tin Lau, South Bank ( Sharing Planet) and Supersave among those who have set up shop.
The mall will be open to the public on April 23.
