Centexs-Huawei collaboration progressing well
KUCHING: The Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (C en texs) and Huawei Technologies ( Malaysia) Sdn Bhd continues their collaboration in the field of skills-training in digital fields.
Yesterday, a delegation from both partners led by Centexs chief executive officer Syeed Mohd Hussien Wan Abdul Rahman paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg at the Chief Minister’s Office in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex in Petra Jaya here.
Representing Huawei were its Malaysian chief executive officer Zhou Xin and others from Huawei Technologies.
Both Syeed Mohd Hussien and Zhou briefed Abang Johari on the progress of the Centexs- Huawei collaboration.
Last month during Centexs’ fourth convocation, Syeed Mohd Hussien highlighted the centre as being Huawei’s first skills training provider in in South East Asia.
The partnership, he was quoted as having said, was aimed at preparing youths for the digital world and also contributing to Sarawak’s digital economy.
According to a Centexs news release obtained from its website, the centre inked a memorandum of understanding ( MoU) with Huawei Malaysia on Nov 10, 2017, where both parties pledged to supply skilled talents for digital infrastructure, slated especially for Sarawak’s digital economy master plan.
