Bersatu Sarawak official launching on Dec 1 in Bintulu

SIBU: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia ( Bersatu) Sarawak will be officially launched in Bintulu this Dec 1.

This was confirmed by political secretary to Entreprene­ur Developmen­t Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof, Major ( Rtd) Mohamad Rahim Osman – also Bersatu Sarawak liaison chief – during a familiaris­ation programme held here on Saturday.

“Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is also Bersatu chairman, will officiate at the launch,” said Mohamad Rahim, who represente­d Mohd Redzuan at the function, adding that the time and venue of the launch would be announced later by the party’s top leadership.

Among those present at the Saturday event were event organising chairman Dato Sri Law Yiik Mee and organising secretaria­t for the launch of Bersatu Sarawak, Datuk Johan Mohammad.

At the event, Law expressed his confidence that more Sarawakian­s would join the party following its launch.

“Until now, I have successful­ly attracted more than 2,000 members from Sibu and Sarikei to join the state Bersatu. Currently, there are more than 1,000 membership forms being processed for registrati­on.

“Under the able leadership of Dr Mahathir, we will render our fullest support to the party in order to spur Sarawak towards greater heights of developmen­t and excellence,” he said.
