-

KAPIT: The Kapit Foochow Association women’s wing held its annual general meeting on Monday.

Chairman Sii Bang Ee advised members to learn from senior members, who are experienced in management and organising events.

“Why keep the door shut, if you don’t know consult the senior members or past leaders who have the experience for advice, how to go about? No one is perfect.

“I noticed the new women’s committee, most of the members are first- timers. Undeniably, you are energetic and keen to serve but due to a lack of experience, thing couldn’t run smoothly. This is where we have to consult those with the experience,” he said when officiating at the meeting.

He pointed out that the women’s and youth wings are vital to the association overall.

“Women and youth are entrusted to be proactive, to organise activities, to invite participation of all. I am very happy that in the past year, you have performed well,” added Sii.

Chairperson Anita Wong thanked those who attended the meeting.

“Myself and the committee, we have tried our very best to carry out the planned activities. I thank you all for giving me continuous support.

“No one is perfect, if I have offended anyone unconsciously, I sincerely say sorry for the wrong deed because no one is perfect. We are all bound to make mistakes,” she said.
